Erase everything on your phone

1. Open Settings in the app, from the gear at the top right of Today
2. Tap "Data and recovery"
3. Tap "Erase all Spiritualrot data"
4. Tap "Erase it all" to confirm

The app says: "This erases protection, history, settings, and prayers. It cannot be undone." It also clears the mascot looks you have received. Deleting the app from your iPhone removes all of it too. This is a local, on-phone erase; it does not touch an account you signed up for, so it never accidentally throws away progress you could still recover by signing in.

Delete your account, if you signed up

1. Open Settings in the app, from the gear at the top right of Today
2. Tap "Account"
3. Tap "Delete account"
4. Confirm to delete

This deletes your account and everything synced to our server: your reading, XP, streak, settings, and any encrypted prayer backup. If you signed up with Apple, this also asks Apple to forget your sign-in link. It cannot be undone.

Anything you sent us

Beyond what you signed up for, the only other things of yours we might have are emails you sent us, including reports about a reading or a prayer, and the technical logs our server keeps when the app checks for new lessons, which hold an IP address but no name.

To ask us to delete a message you sent, use the feedback form and choose "Account deletion request." A person reads every request and deletes it by hand.

What this does not do

Erasing your data does not cancel a Partner subscription. Subscriptions run through Apple, so cancel yours in your iPhone's Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions. A canceled subscription still lasts until the end of the period you paid for.
