How do I chat with Priority support?
Short answer
Tap Priority support in Settings and send your message, one open chat at a time
Who can use Priority support?
Partners can. If you are not a Partner, tap "Send us a message" instead. It opens a short form in your browser, and you do not need to be a Partner to use it.
Where do I find it?
- Tap the gear at the top right of Today to open Settings
- Tap "Priority support" under Help
You can also tap the small headset icon at the top of Today, next to the gear. A red circle on it means support already wrote back, and it clears once you open the chat.
How do I start a chat?
- Tap "Start a new conversation"
- Pick what your issue is about
- Type your message, and add a picture if you want
- Tap send
Why does it say "Continue your open chat" instead?
You keep one open chat at a time. Once you have one open, the button changes from "Start a new conversation" to "Continue your open chat". Tap it to keep talking there.
Got another issue while a chat is already open? Add it to that same chat instead of starting a new one. A line under the button says "Got another issue? Add it to your open chat" to remind you.
Once support marks your chat closed, the button goes back to "Start a new conversation" and you can open a fresh one.
What if my message does not send?
Your message and picture stay in the box, so you do not lose them. Just tap send again. If the chat was closed, you will see "Retry message". Tap it to try again. A picture that did not send says "That picture did not send. Try again".
What is the ticket number for?
Every chat gets its own number, shown as "Ticket #" at the top of the chat and next to it in your list of chats. It is there so you and support are always talking about the same chat.
Who closes the chat?
Support closes it once your issue is solved. After that, you can rate how it went.
