How do I pray for someone's request in my group?

Short answer

Tap Pray now on their request, pray along with the prompts, then tap Amen

Pray right now

  1. Tap "Group"
  2. Find the request under "Prayer requests"
  3. Tap "Pray now"

This opens a short, quiet screen with the person's name and request at the top, and three prompts, one at a time, to help you pray in your own words:

  1. Praise God and thank Him for them
  2. Ask God for what they need
  3. Ask God to do His will for them

The first time you use it, the app tells you: "This minute helps you slow down. God hears short prayers too."

Finish your prayer

Once the minute ends, "Amen" appears. Tap it to let the person know you prayed.

Want more time first? Tap "Keep praying". There's no limit on how long you stay.

Don't want your name shown? Turn on "Don't show my name" before you tap "Amen".

Changed your mind? Tap "Close". Nothing is recorded, and nothing counts against you.

Pray for a request later

Instead of "Pray now", tap "Remind me" and pick one:

  • "In 1 hour"
  • "Tonight at 9"
  • "When I pray today"

"When I pray today" adds the request to your own daily prayer step. Next time you pray, you'll see "Pray for [their name]" there, with the same short prayer screen built right in.

The timed choices send you a notification that opens straight into the prayer screen. None of these options arrive between midnight and 6 AM.

What the person sees

They see "[Your name] prayed for you", or "Someone prayed for you" if you turned on "Don't show my name". Only they see who prayed, your group does not.

Can I pray for the same request again

Yes. Tap "Pray again" any time the request is still open.
