Why did new chapters appear in the app?

Short answer

The app downloads new study lessons on its own, with no App Store update needed

Where did they come from?

The whole Bible is built into the app, along with some study lessons. More lessons arrive over the internet after that. You do not need an App Store update.

New lessons can also make a new reading path show up.

Do I have to do anything?

No. The app checks for new lessons on its own when it starts, at most once every six hours.

New lessons show up the next time the app fully restarts.

Will my old readings change?

Lessons can be added, and a lesson can get fixed. No lesson built into the app is ever deleted.

Your finished readings stay in your history. If a lesson you were halfway through gets fixed, that lesson starts over.

A long lesson can also be replaced by smaller lessons in your path or when you browse the Bible or a topic. You can still open the old finished reading from your history.

What if I have no internet?

Everything built into the app still works with no connection. New lessons arrive once you are back online.
