Why are my apps locked?

You picked these apps

You chose which apps to lock when you set up Spiritualrot. Apple Screen Time does the locking.

What does the lock screen say?

Open a locked app and look at the top line.

• If it is time to read and pray, it says "Not so fast 👀" with a "Read and pray" button
• If nothing is left to do right now, it says "You're done for now ✅" or "You're done for today ✅", and tells you when to come back

When do they lock?

They lock each time a new reading time starts. Your pace sets how many: once, twice, or three times a day.

If your night lock is on, they also lock at midnight.

How do I open them?

1. Open Spiritualrot
2. On Today, tap "Read and pray"
3. Finish the reading and the prayer

Your apps open. How long they stay open depends on "How long apps open" in your Daily plan.

If the lock already says you're done, there is nothing to do yet. Wait for your next reading time, or tap "Emergency unlock".

Why won't reading open them at night?

Your night lock runs from midnight to 6:00 AM. Reading and praying does not open your apps during that time.

How do I change which apps are locked?

1. Open Spiritualrot and go to the Protect tab
2. Tap "Blocked apps"
3. Tap "Change what's locked"

Is my list private?

Yes. Your list of locked apps stays private on this phone.

What if I need my phone right now?

Tap "Emergency unlock" on the lock. It costs 5 XP.
