How do I join a group?

Join with a code or a link

1. Tap "Group" at the bottom of the app
2. Tap "Join with a code"
3. Type or paste the code a friend sent you, then tap "Look up code"
4. Check the name and how full it is, then tap "Join group"

Got a link instead? Tap it, sign in if asked, then follow the same steps.
A QR code works too. Scan it with your camera, then tap the link that shows up.

What you see before you join

Before you join, you see the group's name, how many people are in it, who runs it, and the group rules. Read them, then tap "Join group".

Find a group without a code

1. Tap "Group"
2. No group yet? Look below "Join with a code" for the "Find a group" list, already open on the
   screen. Already in a group? Tap the magnifying glass at the top, next to the bell, to open the
   same list on its own page
3. Type in the search box to look for one by name, or look through the list without typing
4. Tap "Ask to join" on the one you want

The button changes to "Requested". Someone who runs the group has to say yes before you are in.
Waiting on more than one group? Each one shows as "Waiting for approval" with a way to cancel.

Already in a group and used the magnifying glass? Tap "Back" to return to your group. You still
need to leave your current group
before you can join a different one.

What a group card shows

Each group that lets people find it shows its name, how full it is, a short line about it, its admins by photo, and anyone you know who is already a member.

Why can't I join?

• "This code expired": ask for a new one
• "This group is full": ask to start your own, or wait for a spot to open
• "You can't join this group": the group or the person who runs it is not accepting you right now
• "You're already in this group": you are already a member
• "Leave your group to join another" or "You're already in [your group]. Leave it to join another": you can only be in one group at a time. Leave your current one first

What happens after I join?

Your name and photo show up to the group. Your reading and prayer time each day tells the group whether you kept your promise, nothing more.
