What does my group see about me?

Short answer

Your group sees your name, photo, today's check, and any request you post; your profile can show more unless you hide it

What your group sees every day

Once you are in a group, the people in it see:

  • Your name and your photo (or your initials, if you have no photo)
  • Whether you read and prayed today
  • Any prayer request you choose to post to that group

Your group never sees your private prayers, your notes, your history of past days, or which apps you lock. A prayer request is different: it only ever shows up if you write one and tap "Post". See How do I ask my group to pray for me?.

What your profile can show

Anyone who can see your profile, your groups, your followers, and people you follow, can also see:

  • A cover photo, a profile photo, and a short bio
  • Your handle, shown as @yourname
  • How many people follow you and how many you follow
  • A favorite Bible verse or your church background, only if you choose to add them. See How do I share my favorite verse?
  • Your level, total XP, streak, today's XP, current rank, best rank, and your crest collection
  • A "Praying for others" crest, once you earn one, as a record of prayer requests you prayed for
  • A Partner badge, while you have a Partner plan

You choose what to fill in. A blank name never gets shown or shared.

Hide your progress from your profile

Your level, XP, streak, rank, and crests show up on your profile by default. Turn that off any time:

  1. Tap "Group", then "People"
  2. Tap "Edit profile"
  3. Turn "Show my walk on my profile" off
  4. Tap "Save"

With this off, only you see that part of your profile. Your history stays private either way; it is never part of what this switch shares.

Change who can find you

  1. Tap "Group", then "People"
  2. Tap "Edit profile"
  3. Turn "Let people find me" on or off
  4. Turn "Allow group invites" on or off
  5. Tap "Save"

With "Let people find me" off, your name does not show up in search, but people already in a group with you, your followers, or people you follow can still see your profile.

Can I stop sharing later?

Yes. Turn off "Show my walk on my profile" or "Let people find me" any time, leave a group, or delete your account. See How do I leave, block, or report in a group? and How do I delete my account and data?.
