How do I start a group and invite friends?

Start a group

1. Sign in with Apple, then tap "I agree" to the group rules
2. Pick a handle if the app asks for one
3. Tap "Group", then "Start a group"
4. Type a name, pick a crest, and pick how many people can join (2 to 12)
5. Turn on "Let people find this group" if you want strangers to be able to ask to join
6. Tap "Start group"

Your group opens right away, with the invite screen already up.

Invite friends

• Tap "Share invite link" to send it through Messages or another app
• Or show the QR code, so a friend can scan it with their camera
• Or read out the code, so a friend can type it in

The link and code work for 7 days, or until the group is full.

Need a fresh one? Tap "Make a new link". The old link and code stop working, but anyone already in the group stays in.

Let people in who ask to join

If you turned on "Let people find this group", people can find it and ask to join. Only someone who runs the group can let them in.

1. Tap "Group", then the "…" menu
2. Tap "Requests"
3. Tap "Accept" or "Decline" for each person

How big can a group be?

From 2 to 12 people. You pick the size when you start the group.
