How do I see my notifications?
Short answer
Tap the bell icon on Today or Group for recent activity, or See all for the full list
Where to find them
A bell icon sits on your Today screen and on your Group tab header. A small number shows how many you have not read yet.
- Tap the bell icon
- See your 5 most recent notifications
- Tap "See all" for the full list
These also show up as a banner with a sound, even while you already have Spiritualrot open.
What shows up here
- Someone rang your bell
- Someone cheered you on
- Someone asked to join your group
- Your request to join a group was accepted
- Someone joined your group
- Someone followed you
Notifications between two people who have blocked each other never show up for either one.
Follow someone back
When someone new follows you, their row shows a "Follow back" button.
- Tap "Follow back"
- It changes to "Following" right away
If this makes you follow each other, you see a short banner: "You and [their name] follow each other".
The full list
The full list is newest first, grouped into Today, This week, and Earlier. Tap "Load more" to see older ones.
Tap any notification to open what it's about, like a group or a request. Tap "Mark all read" to clear every unread number at once.
Does a notification still show up at night?
Yes, it lands in your list right away. Between midnight and 5:59 AM in your own time zone, only the lock-screen alert does not come. See How do I ring the bell and cheer someone in my group?.
